Tried this signature drink - Wedang Uwuh during my Yogyakarta Trip. Wedang means drink, uwuh means rubbish. So I was literally drinking rubbish drink lol! Because Javanese would throws in few herbs and leaves inside this, which makes it looks like a rubbish drink, hence the name haha. It's reddish in colour, and has sweet herbal ginger taste, very nice to drink during rainy days, as it will keep your body warm. 😋👍

The packet of wedang uwuh I bought from the airport there, while the drinks in the last photos are the wedang uwuh and teh jahe (ginger) we drank in a local restaurant. These have been our favourite drinks during the whole trip. 😍🍻
