Creamy pesto is indeed a surprise! I've been a fans of pesto and the combination of pesto and cream here has taken the usually full-of-basil-aroma pesto to another level. Basil taste was brought down as compared to normal pesto pasta, but to compare with carbonara, the smooth cream here was less milky, and level up-ed with a hint of refreshing basil taste. So the overall taste was lovable to me (and my friends too) (because I don't really like creamy stuff)! The toufu cutlet which had crispy skin and soft inner texture was definitely a bonus!
