Went to the Beyond Veggie Outlet at Taipan USJ for my mum's birthday and intended to take both this oriental set and the western set that is also on deal as we had 9 pax. Unfortunately I was told that the western set was not available as the chef for western food was not around. And for this set, I was also informed that most of the choices of appetizers and drinks were not available, so we could only choose mushroom satay as appetizer and lemongrass as the drink. Since the western set was not available, I ordered other dishes at normal price off the menu, a lot of which were also not available, including all western dishes and some dishes with petai as they had no petai. So my only complaint at this outlet is that so many dishes were not available for various reasons, which left a poor impression how they organize things.
Taste wise, however, the set was very good, as well as all the other dishes we ordered, which included the fried mushrooms, fu chok rolls, stir-fried asparagus. I also ordered the fried rice deal which also very nice. My entire family enjoyed it, even though most of them are not vegetarian. 5 stars for the taste and deal value, minus one star for the lack of availability of western and other dishes.
