The breakfast spread at Park Royal on Pickering was delightful!
Enough plant-based options to keep me happy, and there was even an ice cream section where two out of the four flavors were (by taste test) plant-based! Here is Hash Brown, Baked Beans and Bread, Apple Carrot Juice, Salad, and Congee with random Chinese and Japanese toppings.
The only issue that happened was when I asked the kitchen staff if the guacamole (seen in my salad) had milk. They said no. I took a bite and there was clearly sour cream in it. Later I alerted the person attending to my checkout, and he was extremely apologetic.
I think considering that the kitchen staff were not native English speakers, perhaps they didn’t understand that milk implied any kind of dairy product. It was a lesson for me too, and will be mindful of adapting to different situations better.
