My first time experienced Japanese tea ceremony! Not very official because one is supposed to wear proper kimono during this ceremony hehe. We are so lucky that Japanese tea master Ms Urasenke Yaeko Ohwaki was there to make tea for us and taught us how to drink it in a proper Japanese way. 👘🎌🍵🍘

We also enjoyed Ohagi, a traditional handmade dessert of glutinous rice wrapped in sweetened red beans. There are two flavours, red beads and kinako. Kinako is roasted soy bean flour.

My first time trying all these at this charity fund raising event by NASAM! ☺ (P/S: NASAM is National Stroke Association of Malaysia)

The green tea is very nice, thick and fragrant with flavor. But too small a bowl hahaha. Many procedures just for a few sips, barbarians like me would have downed the whole bowl before the person finishes turning the bowl 2 times

Lol! You uncivilized barbarian! Must slowly sip, only you can enjoy the finest tastes of the authentic Japanese green tea!
