Vegelife Cafe, Taman Mayang Jaya

Forget sophisticated criteria for reviewing vegetarian food. Most of the time, I ask only one question: "Is it mostly brown, or mostly green?"
You'd think that having lots of veggies in vegetarian and vegan food would be a no-brainer, but I guess brains are a rather uncommon commodity in many restaurants which seem to believe that sodium-rich unidentifiable fried brown things constitute a vegetarian meal.
And this is what sets Vegelife Cafe, Taman Mayang Jaya, apart from many local Chinese vegetarian eateries. Their food is low on sodium and oil, and contains no added MSG. On top of this, pretty much all their offerings come with a healthy assortment of fresh vegetables. Not pickled/preserved/canned, previously-frozen or overcooked veggies, mind, but real vegetables, like what your mother would lovingly prepare at home. I've sampled every ala carte dish in this restaurant (it's up the street from my house) and have not been disappointed yet. This is a restaurant I am proud to introduce my non-veggie and part-time veggie friends to.
Here's a nice big portion of tasty yet guilt-free Guang Fu Zhau (Yin-Yang noodles) with a generous serving of veggies to persuade you to come visit this restaurant soon. (The proprietors do a lot of community service work, hence the shameless plug for them)
