🌱Vegan Food Adventures with Raw Chef Yin featuring Bobi’s Restaurant (LANGKAWI)🌱

We came here after our night market visit. Was hoping to find some food for Mr Jazz Guitarist at the night market but everything was highly processed and not that vegan friendly so decided to stop by here instead.

I already had my fruit dinner so he ate most of it and I tried 2 spoonfuls coz I was curious. Maybe I shouldn’t have coz I found myself waking up way too early at 3.43am the next morning.

Anyways, the sign said vegan so we thought we’d give it a try.
They do actually have a vegan section on their menu although I have a feeling they mean vegetarian?

Coz it says creamy butter egg tofu and egg fried rice.

Anyways, he went for:
1. Vegan Thai Red Curry RM30
2. Rice RM3

He wanted to eat curry.
The food was ok. Lots of veggies in the curry. But I was a bit suspicious about the tofu, it might have been egg tofu. I asked Mr Jazz Guitarist to check with the server but he wasn’t in the mood to do so. So he just avoided the tofu.

He did ask in advance to confirm there’s no dairy milk and no egg in the curry and they said no.
(If you do go, please check to confirm the tofu is not the eg tofu!)
It didn’t taste like a Thai Red curry though… there’s lemongrass and asam in it but the authentic Thai taste isn’t there.

Most probably won’t go back as there’s lots of other places to check out and felt a bit unwelcomed in the beginning but after we mentioned a friend’s name they were much nicer.
