In honor of #WomensEqualityDay, we're celebrating the incredible Caroline Earl White who forged a humane path that was way ahead of her time:
In 1868 she founded the PSPCA in Phiily (though she wasn't given a position there because she was a woman), then she founded the Women's Humane Society in 1869 establishing the first animal shelter in the US, and in 1883 she founded the American Anti-Vivisection Society!
