Victory! United Egg Producers Announces Elimination of Chick Culling by 2020

Our congrats go out to The Humane League for this HISTORIC victory.

Over 200 million male baby chicks are shredded or asphyxiated alive by the egg industry in the US. Not being able to lay eggs and being too small to be raised for meat sends these fragile animals DIRECTLY to a shredding machine.

But this will soon be history in the United States, as the United Egg Producers announced today, they will be identifying the sex of the chickens before they hatch.
