Saving Duckling Family
Another great duckling rescue!
Picture this – you're spending a calm day with family, the sky becomes overcast and you hear the roll of thunder. Before you have the chance to head for cover, you hear a strange cry. Instead of retreating, you listen more closely. The sound is coming from below the ground. You place your ear near the ground and discover that the sound is coming from, of all places, a sewage grate.
Would you have done what these two did? They never thought of walking away. They raced against time to make a bold rescue, and with a couple of hand-held fishnets, quick thinking and speedy action, they were able to make a nearby mom happy -- all while beating the looming rainstorm from the sky above.
The man in the white shirt and tie is hardly dressed for what might have been a messy rescue, but that didn't slow him down. We can all do something heroic, if only we set our minds to it, and saving even one animal is an act of heroism. Think how many animals you can save simply by eating more plant-based meals!
