Simple Life vegetarian chain restaurants have just introduced 3 new value sets consisting of a main course and a drink for RM12.90. I had the third option, namely, multigrain fried rice with oyster mushroom nuggets and black pepper sauce, served with hot or cold green tea. Loved the fact that there are fresh green vegetables in the fried rice and not merely frozen mixed stale corn, pea and carrot bits. The nuggets were delicious and the mushrooms stayed juicy and tender. Just the kind of pre-race carbo-loading that didn't leave me feeling too guilty.
