VEGANISED THAI FOOD AT THAI TUK TUK
This used to be one of my favourite places to have Thai food as the food here tastes legit - reminds me of the food I used to have in Thailand when I travelled there for work frequently.

There are no vegetarian/vegan options on the menu, but they can veganise upon request.

This time, we had:
1. Clear Tom Yum (small) - RM33.90
2. Stir Fried Kang Kung with garlic - RM15.90
3. Panaeng Curry RM18.90
4. Warm water - free
5. Steamed white rice RM7.50 for 3

We usually have the green curry or the red but this time I wanted to try their Panaeng curry instead. I liked it but wish it wasn’t just pure tofu… usually they would veganise with tofu and mushrooms.

I usually don’t order leafy greens because it’s something I can easily make at home but I’m glad Diyana opted for this as it gave me a chance to try their kang kung dish. I liked it - there was a certain sweetness and complexity to it.

Too bad we couldn’t have the stir-fried paku as Mr Jazz Guitarist is allergic to it. Actually, now on hindsight, we should have ordered it anyway and then get another salad so that he could eat that. Another time, I guess 😉

The tom yam was so comforting, especially since it was raining. We initially wanted the creamy tom yam but that had Carnation creamer in it so we opted for the clear tom yam soup instead.

I don’t recommend the veganised pineapple fried rice though as we had that previously and there was hardly any ingredients in the rice…

It’s a bit on the pricy side though and portions are not that big. I would still go there because I like the taste and it’s only a short drive for me.

Surprisingly parking was easy to find on a Sunday. Maybe it was coz it’s the school holidays?
